Petrina J. Johnson was born in California and raised in Marshall, TX. She
graduated from Georgia State University in May of 2003 with a Journalism
degree. For several years Ms. Johnson felt in her spirit to start her own
business and she ventured out by trying to start an advertising promotion firm.

Despite countless efforts establishing the business was needless to say not a
success due to being in a small town and there was not a large market for
advertising businesses in the area.  In 2005 she got her first major job in her
field as a news clerk for Longview News Journal. She soon was promoted to a
community reporter however with a great job; Ms. Johnson still felt in her spirit
there was more. She desired to do more featuring writing and still had a
passion to help small business promote their companies.

In 2007 Ms. Johnson gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Jacelyn Marie Miles.
Jacelyn was her gift from God and the vision was revived. The Lord showed
the new mother how to start her own spiritual based magazine and still help
small business advertise their companies. She knew small business could not
afford the high advertising rates as with the larger publications.

The first edition of The Jace was printed in January 2008 debuting in Houston.
It was a New Year and new beginnings for the single mother. Ms. Johnson has
interviewed Yunek, Dr. Myles Munroe, Demond Wilson (Sanford & Son),
Brother Larry Jones from 92.1 and many more who have been on the cover of
the magazine.  The Jace has been featured on the popular Christian television
show Daystar, Houston’s 102.1 1360 AM, at the 2009 Stellar Awards and the
GMA Dove Awards. You can pick up a FREE copy of The Jace at Mardel
Christian Bookstore on Veterans Memorial, 1st Stop Shop in Jersey Village,
several local churches in the Houston area and Southwest Houston. The Jace
is featured now in Atlanta at Berean Christian Bookstore and Family Christian
Stores. The magazine is constantly expanding and will soon be distributed in
Dallas, Marshall, Los Angeles and Detroit.
